Guitar Story
In 2008, Heritage Guitar, Inc. controlled the Heritage name. Its one line on record was built at Kalamazoo 225 Parsons St (1917 Gibson building) (USA).[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
A Heritage guitar from 2008 belongs to whichever era was running on its product line that year. An era is a stretch when the company that controlled the name and the plant that built the line both stayed the same. If you know the line, the table below tells you which version of Heritage you have. The name dates from 1985[1, 2, 3, 4, 5], 23 years before.
| Line | Controlled by | Parent | Built at | Era | Grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Heritage USA | Heritage Guitar, Inc. | — | Kalamazoo 225 Parsons St (1917 Gibson building) Kalamazoo, MI, USA[4] | 1985–2016 | community[1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] |
Nothing changed in 2008. Every era running that year carried on from an earlier year, so a Heritage from 2008 is the same version as one from 2007.
