Model · Gibson
Byrdland
A Gibson archtop, introduced 1955[1]. Built on the Gibson USA line.
First Thinline models 1955 per Guitar World (S349). That page gives standard production 1955 to 1993 and special order to 2018; Wikipedia's infobox gives other end years (1975, 1977, 1978, 1992) and says current. The sources likely measure different things (nut width, standard vs Custom Shop); end date unresolved, so discontinued left null.
How it changed

Who owned it and where it was built
The eras of the Gibson USA line in the years this model was made. No end year is on record, so the last row runs as far as the line does. The model rides on its line: when the owner or the plant changed, it changed for this model too.
