Plant
owned factory
La Patrie, Quebec, Canada[1, 2, 3]. Built for 0 brands on record.
Robert Godin opened his first factory at La Patrie in 1972 and introduced Norman (jedistar timeline, community); LaSiDo founded 1978 (Encyclopedia.com). Dealer boilerplate says the necks and bodies are made at the original La Patrie location. A second La Patrie factory dates from 1978 (timeline). Operator in 1972-78 unclear: Encyclopedia.com says Boucher ran manufacturing at La Patrie. Plant counts conflict across sources (four, five or six). Unverified. [2026-10-16 geolocation sweep, llm:claude-sonnet-5-5] No sourced factory address. Lead only, not used: a MapQuest directory listing shows 'Godin Guitars, 42 Rue Principale S, La Patrie, QC J0B 1Y0' (community-grade directory; not shown to be the 1972 factory rather than the 1978 one). Photon resolved only the Rue Principale Sud street, not No. 42. Godin's official history page (godinguitars.com/?p=87896) lists factories without addresses. Kept at city precision.
