Plant
owned factory
Fullerton, CA, USA[1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. Built for 1 brand on record.
Opened circa 1950: NPS (S439) says a brick building for expanded production went up on Pomona Avenue in May 1950; OC Weekly citing Smith (S440) says 'base of operations' 1953-1985. Wikipedia (S434) gives 500 S Raymond Ave and a larger building at 1300 S Valencia Dr from 1966; it is not confirmed that these are one campus, and no street number was found for the Pomona Ave buildings. Closed: production shut down Dec 1984 (S433), other sources say 1985 (S442). Owner was Leo Fender's company until 1965 and CBS 1965-1985; FMIC only leased space here in 1985 (S433). No coordinates sourced.
